Historical Timeline

1908

Batterjee early journey began with the establishment of a general trading company named I. H. Batterjee & Sons by Sheikh Ibrahim Batterjee.

1925

Batterjee Historical House was rented as the First US Embassy and the First UK Oil firm in the Kingdom.

1940

Sheikh Abdul Raouf kept the first foundation of the Pharmaceutical business with the certified first wholesale branches in the whole Kingdom.

1944

Sheikh Abdul Rauof Ibrahim Batterjee led the foundation for the new future of the Batterjee trade business by establishing the pharmaceutical and Pharmacy Chain Business.

1948

Sheikh Abdul Rauof Ibrahim Batterjee led the foundation for the new future of the Batterjee trade business. He established the pharmaceutical business

1976

Batterjee National Pharmacies Company meeting with Upjohn Company, where the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Sheikh Abdul Raouf Batterjee, and his brothers, Sheikh Abdul Hamid Batterjee and Sheikh Muhammad Batterjee, may God have mercy on them all, and Upjohn’s General Regional Director, and Middle East Director, in the office of Sheikh Abdul Raouf Batterjee, where the Upjohn's first order took place in 1945.

1985

Establishment of Fahad Abdul Raouf Batterjee Group of companies activities as Engineering, Real Estate, Construction, and Pharmaceutical. Pictured is Batterjee receiving recognition for being in the top 100 Companies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In 116 years, we, Ibrahim.H.Batterjee and A.R.I Batterjee, not only established a family legacy but also birthed the renowned brand of BATTERJEE Co., synonymous with trade excellence and enduring partnerships with esteemed multinational entities.
